To open the valve gently push a inflation nozzle/drinking straw up the stem until you feel resistance, that's the valve.

Push slightly passed the valve to establish an airway and proceed to fill with helium or air. These Balloons are self sealing so once inflated pinch the seal directly after inflating to seal balloon.
