The Lasanta 15 Year Old

The Glenmorangie Lasanta 15 Year Old is a richer, more mature interpretation of one of Glenmorangies most beloved sherry-cask expressions. Lasanta means warmth and passion in Gaelic, an apt name for this elegant Highland single malt, matured first in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Xim*nez sherry casks.

Compared with the previous Lasanta 12 Year Old, the additional years of maturation bring greater depth, silkier texture and more pronounced dried fruit and spice notes. The result is a whisky that balances Glenmorangies signature soft, fruity spirit with luxurious sherry richness. Colour: Deep amber with rich copper and mahogany tones.

Nose: Inviting and expressive. Aromas of raisins, dates and dried apricot are layered with orange peel, honey and polished oak. Hints of cinnamon, clove and milk chocolate emerge with time in the glass. Palate: Rich and velvety. Sweet sherry influence brings notes of toffee, dark fruit and caramelised orange, balanced by Glenmorangies characteristic vanilla and orchard fruit.

Subtle layers of roasted nuts, baking spice and soft oak add depth and complexity. Finish: Long, warming and smooth with lingering notes of dried fruit, dark chocolate, cinnamon and gentle oak spice.
