Nutrient information:Vitamin B6 is the master vitamin in the processing of amino acidsthe building blocks of all proteins and some hormones.

Vitamin B6 helps to make and take apart many amino acids and is needed to make serotonin, melatonin, and dopamine. Vitamin B6 aids in the formation of several neurotransmitters and is therefore an essential nutrient in the regulation of mental processes and possibly mood. In combination with folic acid and vitamin B12, vitamin B6 lowers homocysteine levels.

Helps overcome pre-menstrual tension and symptoms associated with taking oral contraceptives and oestrogen, when due to a deficiency of Vitamin B6 in the diet.
Directions:One tablet to be taken once to twice a day with meals or as directed by a healthcare professional.
Caution:Not more than two tablets daily for extended periods must be recommended or advised.

The high, but therapeutic dosage of Vitamin B6 may increase the risk of peripheral neuropathy associated with Vitamin B6 toxicity which can occur, if doses more than 200mg are taken daily for extended periods of time. Keep out of reach of children.
Contra-indications: Recipients of regular blood transfusions and those with Wilsons disease.

Use with caution in-patients with Parkinsons disease, since vitamin B6 may reduce the effects of Levodopa.
