Using the point-to-point mode, an HDMI signal can be extended up to 120m (394ft) over a single Cat5E/6 cable. With a Bi-Directional RS-232 passthrough, users can control RS-232 enabled devices, such as rotatable cameras, from a PC connected to their Transmitter. This extender encodes and decodes HDMI signals using H.264 compression, which significantly reduces the bandwidth usage while maintaining high video quality.
