Ron Zacapa Centenario Solera is one of the worlds most celebrated luxury rums, produced in the highlands of Guatemala at an altitude of over 2,300 metres above sea level a maturation environment known as the House Above the Clouds. Crafted fromvirgin sugarcane honey (not molasses) and matured using a solera ageing system, this rum is a complex blend of rums aged in a succession of casks that previously held bourbon, sherry and Pedro Xim*nez wine.
The result is a rich, elegant and exceptionally smooth rum that has become a benchmark for premium aged rum worldwide. Tasting Notes Colour: Deep mahogany with copper and amber highlights. Nose: Rich and inviting. Aromas of caramelised sugar, vanilla, dried fruit, raisin, fig and honeyed oak. Subtle notes of cocoa, toasted nuts and soft spice emerge with time.
Palate: Full-bodied, velvety and indulgent. Layers of toffee, dark honey, dried apricot, vanilla pod and milk chocolate glide across the palate. Sweetness is balanced by oak spice, roasted coffee and gentle nuttiness, creating depth without cloying weight. Finish: Long, smooth and warming with lingering notes of caramel, cocoa, dried fruit and polished oak.
