Jackson's Glass Palette is a practical and high quality colour-mixing accessory for the studio. It's easy to clean and you can mix colours accurately by choosing a coloured sheet of paper to place under the palette demonstrating how your choices will interact with a coloured ground. It is also suitable as an inking slab for rolling out ink.

The smoothness of the surface also means no paint gets lost by absorption, allowing you to collect all of it on your brush or palette knife, and the surface will not damage your brushes in any way. This is unlike wood palettes where brush hairs can get caught in the pores of the surface causing them to get damaged.

In order to guarantee the safety of this product, the Jackson's Team carried out a series of tests to establish each palette's strength.

This included dropping it from shoulder height onto a concrete floor, dropping it so that it landed on a corner, hitting it with a hammer (the hammer bounces off so don't try at home), and throwing it in the air. While we do not recommend doing any of these tests, they do show that the glass is very unlikely to break and is incredibly strong.
