Description:
Handyman's Bitukote is a rubberised water-based bitumen. It is a multiproofer that can be used on walls and floors and to prevent water ingress and dampness from the ground up. Provides protection against corrosion of pipes and structural steel work. Will provide a waterproof membrane on concrete and brick foundation, retaining walls and parapets, flashings and raw concrete in showers and balconies before tiling.

Waterproofing of flat roofs, parapets and flashings Adhesion:
Concrete, masonry, cementitious screed / renders, galvanized steel, metals, clay and cement bricks,
weathered bitumen and existing bituminous waterproofing. Limitations:
Do not apply if temperature is below 5 C.
Do not apply onto damp surfaces.
Bitumen compounds have poor UV resistance and therefore must be over coated with a paint if exposed to sunlight or UV.
Due to the tendency of bitumen compounds to bleed through and discolour paints applied over them, we recommend that one over coats with Handyman's Aluseal Paint.

If a colour matched acrylic paint is used, apply a primer recommended by the paint manufacturer before painting.What's in the box
