The Man Who Would Be King is a historical drama film set in 1881 in India. It tells the story of two British army officers, Daniel Dravot (Sean Connery) and Peachy Carnehan (Michael Caine), who travel to Kafiristan in order to set up a business empire. However, they are met with resistance from the local district commissioner (played by Peter O'Toole), and their plan does not go as planned.

However, when they journey into Kafiristan with the intention of setting themselves up as rulers, they fall foul of the local District Commissioner, and their plan does not quite go according to plan.
