Should not be taken by patients taking anti-coagulants, by patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation (PUBs) related to previous NSAIDs, by patients with active or a history of recurrent ulcer/heamorrhage/perforations, haemophilia, severe kidney damage, by patients who are allergic to aspirin or by patients with heart failure. Safety in pregnancy and lactation has not been established.Warnings:DO NOT USE CONTINUOUSLY FOR MORE THAN 10 DAYS WITHOUT CONSULTING A DOCTOR. Excessive and prolonged use of this medicine may be dangerous.Aspirin has been implicated in Reye's Syndrome, a rare but serious illness in children and teenagers with chicken pox and influenza. A doctor should be consulted before aspirin is used in such patients. Caution is required in patients with a history of hypertension and/or heart failure as fluid retention and oedema have been reported in association with aspirin therapy. Elderly: The elderly have an increased frequency of adverse reactions of NSAIDs, especially gastrointestinal bleeding and perforation (PUBs) which may be fatal. The risk of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation (PUBs) is higher with increasing doses of MED-LEMON HOT MEDICATION WITH VITAMIN C, in patients with a history of ulcers, and the elderly. When gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration occurs in patients receiving MED-LEMON HOT MEDICATION WITH VITAMIN C, treatment with MED-LEMON HOT MEDICATION WITH VITAMIN C should be stopped.MED-LEMON HOT MEDICATION WITH VITAMIN C should be given with caution to patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease (e.g. ulcerative colitis, Chrohns disease, hiatus hernia, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, angiodysplasia) as the condition may be exacerbated. Serious skin reactions, some of them fatal, including exfoliative dermatitis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and toxic epidermal necrolysis have been reported. MED-LEMON HOT MEDICATION WITH VITAMIN C should be discontinued at the first appearance of skin rash, mucosal lesions, or any other sign of hypersensitivity.
