The Luna Precision Balances have a backlit LCD that is easily visible in any lighting conditions, colour-coded keys for quick recognition, a level indicator and adjustable feet for proper balance setup, a security slot for optional Kensington-type lock and cable to help prevent theft, a large, grade 304 stainless steel pan that allows easy cleaning, a sealed keypad that protects against dirt and spills, a USB and RS-232 interface for speedy communication with computers and printers, and external calibration for verification and adjustment.

The Luna Precision Balances can also count parts with preset sample sizes, printouts include date and time for data tracking within GLP guidelines, and the balances can be set to select digital filtering for animal/dynamic weighing to enable consistent results for moving subjects. The Luna Precision Balances have an auto power-off feature to save energy, an AC adapter is included, and they are compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems.
