It features water lubricated thrust and journal bearings, and is pre-filled with clear, cold, pure, fresh, filtered water. It is dynamically balanced and has pressure equalizing rubber diaphragm to guard against pressure and volume variations of the water inside the motor.

The shaft seals and sand guard prevent ingress of well water sand and fiber particles into the motor.
