Emma is a novel written by Jane Austen. It is about a woman named Emma who is trying to find partners for everyone in her life. She is very opinionated and doesn't think anyone is good enough for anyone else. Mr. Knightly, Emma's neighbor, doesn't like her because he thinks she is meddling in his life. He also has ulterior motives for not wanting her to find partners for everyone. The novel was one of the highlights of the Autumn schedules in 1996 on ITV.
