Description
The MidNite Little Sob 120VAC Array Shutoff Transmitter is a device that is used to shut down an array of solar panels. The transmitter is powered by a 12 volt DC power supply and can be used with either the MNLSOB-T1-600 or MNLSOB-R1-600 receivers. The transmitter is rated for a string voltage up to 600 VDC and can be installed on up to six strings. If the receiver does not sense the keep alive data stream from the transmitter, it will turn off and open the circuit.

The MNLSOB-T1-600 transmitter is powered by a 250 mA 12 volt DC power supply. The MNLSOB-T1-AC transmitter is powered a 90 to 305 volt AC source drawing 3 watts. The MNLSOB-R1-600 is the receiver unit installed at the array and wired into any of the modules in a string for shutdown, or for module level shutdown onto each module. It is rated for a string voltage up to 600 VDC and modules with maximum 80 Voc each. The MNLSOB-R1-1000 is the same as the 600 volt unit but made to work in a string up to 1000 VDC.

The MidNite SOB is a simple to install, low cost rapid shut down system designed to comply with 2014 as well as 2017 NEC.

The system uses a receiver at the module that wires in just like an optimizer and a transmitter that is installed in or near the inverter. The installer does not need to install any other wiring between the transmitter and receiver. The system is fail safe, if the receiver does not sense the keep alive data stream from the transmitter, it turns off and opens the circuit.

*Operates on 12 to 16 VDC 200mA power supply
*90 - 305VAC
*A receiver is placed at the end of each string. Up to six strings
