Description
The story follows the lives of two women, Shanti Naidoo and Jennifer Kandasamy. Shanti is a Type A personality who always goes out of her way to please people and overcompensates for her perceived inadequacies by continually cooking up a storm in the kitchen. Jennifer is the neighbour who always seems to outdo whatever Shanti does and life appears to be a constant battle of trying to keep up with the Kandasamys. When Jennifer realizes her daughter Jodi is in love with Shanti's son Pranesh, she is determined to break them up. But in order to do that she will have to enlist her rival's help. At first, Shanti refuses point blank, but they both soon realize that they have no choice.
The story climaxes with the two women teaming up to scheme and plot against their kids. They eventually reveal their big secret, which is that they are both witches. This causes the underlying tension between them to dissipate and they are able to reconcile their differences.
