Flowering all through the summer months, the daisy type flowers come in a wide variety of reds, oranges and yellows. They open up n the full sun, but close up in cloudy overcast weather. The fact that they are very hardy and require little water makes them perfect for planting in a rockery for a bit of colour and ideal for use in an indigenous waterwise garden. Gazania rigens var rigens commonly known as Strandgousblom is a South African endemic species. It grows from 10-20cm tall forming a creeping perennial with green leaves and bright yellow flowers all year round.
