Description
Tone and playability are hallmarks of Taylor guitars, and you'll find the 100 Series delivers plenty of each. The 100 Series 110ce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar has a solid sitka spruce top and sapele laminate back and sides. It also features a Venetian cutaway that helps with the upper range while the ES-T pickup primes you for plugging in.
Tonewood
As a guitar soundboard, or top, Sitka spruce is the tonewood standard of the modern era. It's used on 85-90 percent of the guitars that Taylor makes. Its combination of strength and elasticity translates into a broad dynamic range, yielding crisp articulation and allowing for everything from aggressive strumming and flatpicking to fingerpicking. Sitka spruce is Bob Taylor's personal favorite for an all-around great guitar.
Dreadnought (DN)The Taylor dreadnought is a focused guitar with plenty of presence, recently redesigned to be even more assertive. It's the traditional choice for the traditional player; the model to drive with a heavy pick.
Taylor ES-TDevloped by the same Taylor team that invented the Expression System pickup, the Taylor ES-T Under-Saddle Transducer takes piezo technology to another level. Optimized for the 100 and 200 Series, the system features onboard Bass, Treble, and Volume controls plus custom-voiced EQ and dynamic response.
