Description
The film follows the life of American poet Elizabeth Bishop, who moves to Brazil to be mentored by her mentor, Robert Lowell. Initially, Elizabeth struggles with her work and her host, the Brazilian architect Lota de Macedo. However, she eventually finds her footing in Brazil and begins to write her best poetry.
