This is a kit that includes an Axpert Type Pure Sine 1000VA Inverter Trolley, a 300AH Lithium Battery, and a 60A MPPT (720W) Hybrid. The battery has an 18 hour battery life and the inverter has a 1000W output. The fan on the unit comes on during charging and load shedding, but only occasionally once the batteries are fully charged. The kit comes with an inverter manual and battery care instructions. It is designed to provide power during load shedding and can be easily connected to appliances. The backup time depends on the number and type of appliances connected. The inverter can run any appliance as long as the total load is less than 1000W. It can also be connected to a house's electric board for whole-house power during load shedding. The kit comes with a 1 year warranty and includes a GeeWiz Axpert Type 1000VA (1000W) PURE Sine Wave Inverter, a LifePO4 200Ah battery, and a steel battery case. Q) What is an inverter system and what does it do do?It is an inverter unit coupled with a battery which provides power when there is load shedding. It keeps its battery charged when there is Eskom power. As soon as Eskom power cuts, the system instantly transfers over to battery power so you can keep your lights, TV, computers, chargers and wifi running during load shedding
Q) Is it easy to connect up? Do I have to fiddle with electronics?It is super easy The system is plug and play.The inverter has a regular 3 pin plug that goes into the wall. You then have a 3 way multiplug on the inverter that allows you to connect any appliance you want. Keep the appliances connected at all times, the inverter will automatically switch to battery as soon as it detects Eskom power is down.
Q) How much backup time will I have on the unit before normal Eskom power come back on to recharge the battery?Assume a computer, TV, and desk lamp are connected to the inverter:This unitwill last 8-12 hours
Only want a lamp, wifi router and laptop connected to the inverter: This unit will last20-24 hours
Q) What appliances can I run on the inverter system?This unit is PURE SINE WAVE (same electricity signal that comes from Eskom), so can run any appliance as long as the total load is less than 1000W
Q) Can I connect the inverter to my houses DB (electric) board so that my whole house is powered when Eskom does load shedding?Sure you can - You will just need an electrician to wire it correctly into your DB board.
