Hemisqualane is a light, fast-absorbing emollient derived from plant sugars. It is similar to squalane, but has a lower molecular weight, making it lighter and less greasy. Hemisqualane is approved for use in cosmetics and hair care products, and is sustainable and naturally derived.
Hemisqualane is a light emollient produced from plant sugars. Although oil-like, it is fast absorbing and is a great emollient and conditioner in skin and hair care formulations. It moisturises well, but without the heaviness and greasiness that plant oils can bring.
Hemisqualane is similar to squalane but has a lower molecular weight, which makes it light and non-greasy.
