The paper also contains an anti-microbial agent to help resist mildew. The paper is suitable for watercolor, gouache, pen and ink, acrylics, and calligraphy. The sizing is important to the paper and helps it accept washes, scratching, and erasing without affecting the actual fibers and strength of the paper. The paper is manufactured in the same French mill since 1492 and is produced on a cylinder mould with pure French stream water.
