The Ultrastar 7K3000 represents the fifth-generation Hitachi 5-platter mechanical design, first introduced in 2004, and has been field proven by top server and storage OEMs as well as leading Internet giants. The Ultrastar 7K3000 has an interface type of SAS Serial Attached SCSI and is form factor of 3.5inx1.0in LFF Hard Drive.
