It is made of Tritan, which is free of environmental hormones (Bisphenol A), and the juicing mesh and screw are made of safe and durable ULTEM. The flap gate system is designed to prevent children's small hands from entering the feeding chute. The Whole Slow Juicer has a 10-year warranty on the motor and 2-year warranty on parts, excluding the juicing strainer. The extended warranty is 5 years.
