Description
More than 800,000 dams and thousands of kilometers of dikes have been constructed around the world. In the last century hundreds of dam failure events were reported sometimes to catastrophic consequences.
Uncertainty Analysis and Risk Assessment in Dam Break Modelling presents a description of a framework and techniques for modelling structure (in particular dams and dikes) failure events. It also includes proposes several novel approaches for risk analysis and assessment by numerical, statistical, and constrained based methods in particular to the problems of breach modelling and flood water mitigation.
