Description
This DVD is about how to paint with watercolours, and it is taught by Ian McManus. He teaches you how to select important details in your paintings, and how to avoid details that can make your paintings look messy. The DVD is about 1 hour and 43 minutes long, and it can be viewed in all regions.
In 'One Hour Watercolours' the artist and tutor Ian McManus teaches
you how to select significant details which will enliven your
watercolours and give the illusion of depth and activity to a
scene. By the same principle, it is possible to exclude irrelevant
details which clutter the composition and lend the painting an
'overworked' appearance. As Ian says: 'My philosophy on watercolour
painting is to create paintings that are done with energy,
sponteneity and without fussing with detail too much. The undoing
of most watercolourists that I see is a tendency to overwork them.
Through the course of this film, I will do four paintings for you,
and I will demonstrate to you my way of working in
watercolour.'Over a running time of approximately 1 hour and 43
minutes, Ian paints four diverse land- and city-scapes on location
at Pin Mill in Suffolk and in the cathedral city of Norwich. Please
note: this DVD is available for viewing in 'ALL Regions'.This is in
PAL format and can only be viewed on DVD players which accept PAL.
