This inverter system includes a Microtek 850VA inverter unit, 100AH battery, and plastic/steel battery case. The batteries are designed for backup use only and will last 150-200 cycles (load sheddings). The inverter system is plug and play and can be connected to any appliance. The inverter has a regular 3 pin plug that goes into the wall and a 3 way multiplug on the inverter that allows you to connect any appliance you want. The inverter system will automatically switch to battery as soon as it detects Eskom power is down. The warranty is 1 year.
NB - WARRANTY INFORMATION
The standard batteries in this kit are rated to last 150-200 cycles (load sheddings).
During occasional load shedding, at stage 1-3, the average life span is 2 years.
Unfortunately, during constant load shedding, at stage 4 - 6, these cycles will be depleted within a few months.
The batteries will also be further degradeddue to insufficient time to recharge fully in between load shedding cycles.
**Please note that as soon as the batteries stop lasting, unfortunately the warranty becomes void, as this means that the batteries have depleted their cycles and reached the end of their life.
Please always keep the total load shedding count of 150-200 cycles (high cycle batteries) or 200-250 cycles (deep cycle batteries) in mind when running the system.
Therefore, during stage 4-6, we highly recommend keeping the inverters power switch OFF. Then, only switch it on when the need for backup power is crucial.
This will preserve the longevity of the batteries (please keep it plugged in to the wall permanently to keep it charged).

Q) What is an inverter system and what does it do?It is an inverter unit coupled with a battery which provides power when there is load shedding. Heres how to maximize your inverters battery life
Please leave your inverter kit plugged in and turned on. It willkeep your batteries at constant full charge this is the beststate to keep them in.
If there is no load shedding, after a few weeks, the acid willstart to sulphate on the top of the battery, so please do thefollowing: Once every 1-2 months, please unplug the inverterfrom the wall and let it run until the inverter starts beeping,then immediately plug it back in. This will circulate the acidand will tremendously increase the cycle life of your batteries.
