The Starfish Greathearts Foundation is a young and dynamic development charity that was founded in 2001 by a group of friends who wanted to make a difference to the lives of children orphaned or made vulnerable through the HIV/AIDS pandemic in South Africa. Starfish exists to support orphaned and vulnerable children throughout South Africa by strengthening community-based responses to provide basic services to the children they support. Starfish forms a vital link between donors and community-based organisations, and aims to mobilise and inspire a global community to make a difference one child at a time.
