The Hammerite 5092868 100ML Rust Remover Gel Blister is a product designed for removing rust from metal items. It comes in both gel and gel blister form and is safe and effective to use. The gel is non-drip and can be applied to vertical surfaces. It takes 2-3 hours to remove rust and is non-harmful to the skin. The product should be applied with a brush directly onto rusty metal after removing loose rust with a wire brush or coarse sandpaper. The gel should be worked into the surface with a coating of 1.5mm and left for 15-20 minutes. The process can be repeated for 2-3 hours or until the rust is completely removed. If necessary, the procedure can be repeated. Preparation:
Remove loose rust with a wire brush or coarse sandpaper.
Appliance:
Brush apply Hammerite Rust Remover liberally.
Work the gel into the surface giving a coating of 1.5mm.
Leave for 15-20 minutes. Repeat, brush working with additional gel as necessary at 30 minute intervals for a period of 2 to 3 hours or until rust is removed.
Wash with clean running water using a wire brush to assist.
If the rust has not been completely removed repeat the procedure.
