Description
The Katla is a compact, tactical-looking folding knife with a 3D-machined Tanto blade. The Bohler M390 steel blade is hardened at 59-61 HRC and opens smoothly with ball bearings. The action is crisp and authoritative, and the small finger choil on the blade provides fine detail work. The Katla is designed by Jesper Voxnaes and is made in Italy.
The Katla, designed by Jesper Voxnaes, is a liner lock folding knife with a relatively compact size yet tactical tanto profile that we find very appealing. The Bohler M390 steel blade, hardened at 59-61HRC, provides excellent cutting qualities and opens smoothly with ball bearings and the thumb stud or nicely designed flipper. The action is crisp and authoritative and Jesper put a small finger choil on the blade for fine detail work. The detail that defines the Katla is its 3D machining on both ends of the scales which recalls, in a modern key, the bolsters of the most classic Viper models.
