Description
This inverter system includes a 3000W inverter and two 100AH batteries. The batteries are designed for backup use only and will only last 150-200 cycles during load shedding. The inverter system is plug and play and is easy to connect. The inverter has a regular 3 pin plug that goes into the wall and a 3 way multiplug on the inverter that allows you to connect any appliance you want. The inverter system will automatically switch to battery as soon as it detects Eskom power is down. The warranty on the system is 1 year.
NB - WARRANTY INFORMATION (BELOW DOES NOT APPLY IF YOU UPGRADE TO LITHIUM BATTERIES ABOVE)
The standard batteries in this kit are rated to last 150-200 cycles (load sheddings).
During occasional load shedding, at stage 1-2, the average life span is 2 years.
Unfortunately, during constant load shedding, atstage 2 - 6, these cycles will bedepleted within a few months.
The batteries will also be further degradeddue to insufficient time to recharge fully in between load shedding cycles.
**Please note that as soon as the batteries stop lasting, unfortunately the warranty becomes void, as this means that the batteries have depleted their cycles and reached the end of their life.
Please always keep the total load shedding count of 150-200 cycles (high cycle batteries) or 200-250 cycles (deep cycle batteries) in mind when running the system.
Therefore, during constant stage 2-6, we highly recommend keeping the inverters power switch OFF. Then, only switch it on when the need for backup power is crucial.
This will preserve the longevity of the batteries (please keep it plugged in to the wall permanently to keep it charged).

Q) Can I connect the inverter to my houses DB (electric) board so that my whole house is powered when Eskom does load shedding?Sure you can - You will just need an electrician to wire it correctly into your DB board.
