Description
This wine is a blend of five different types of wine grapes, all of which are grown in a cool maritime climate and then hand-harvested. The wine is then carefully sorted and batch-vined, resulting in a high-quality product.
Constantia Glen FIVE, the flagship of the winery, surpasses even the uppermost of expectations.
This Bordeaux-style blend is violet-edged with a dense crimson core. The nose expresses rich spice, cassis and black cherry aromas at first and continues to develop in the glass. These dark fruit aromas continue onto the palate where they are supported by a lovely texture, created by the lingering, soft tannins. Overall, the wine is rich and shows great concentration.
