This is a replacement remote switch shutter release cord for the Nikon MC-DC2. The cord is 100% compatible with the original and has a fast release button that allows for autofocus in half-press mode. The cord also has a second stage release button that allows for complete shutter activation. The cord can be locked in place for long exposures or continuous shooting.

Take out the the camera's remote-control terminal cover. Firmly insert the plug of the remote shutter into the camera's remote control terminal and turn your camera on.
The remote shutter works in two levels: press the shutter halfway down to achieve focus, you will hear the focus beep and see the focus indicator in your camera's viewfinder; press the shutter complete down to activate shutter release.
Press the shutter complete down and slide it forward will lock the shutter. This is
particular useful when you need to use long time exposure (bulb).
