The Andro Rasanter R37 Table Tennis Rubber is a red rubber with a thickness of 2.0. It is designed for players with a spin-driven profile and is best for mid to advanced level players. The rubber has a soft 37 sponge that allows for precise active topspin play and control. The goal of this rubber was to develop a technology that would help players overcome the physical disadvantages of the 40+ ball, which is now the standard ball used in sanctioned tournaments. The topsheet of the Rasanter rubber compensates for the rotational disadvantages of the 40+ ball, while the denser, ultra-thick sponge increases the catapult effect and compensates for the lower speed of the ball. The rubber is designed to be faster than previous rubbers, but its performance advantage goes beyond just speed. The topsheet has been thinned down to 1.7 mm, and this, combined with the denser sponge, makes the Rasanter rubber better than previous rubbers.
