The Shopify Card Reader is a low-cost, wireless audio-jack plug-in that is compatible with iPads, iPhones, and Android devices with built-in microphones and audio jacks. It installs in a few easy steps, and requires no wire - obtaining its power during use from the device's 3.5mm audio jack. The store must be based in the U.S. or in Canada, and the store's currency must be U.S. Dollars (USD) or Canadian Dollars (CAD). The Shopify Card Reader requires an enabled Shopify Payments or a POS-supported payment provider (Shopify - U.S. & Canada or Authorize.net - U.S. & Canada, or First Data Payeezy - U.S. only) in order to function. The store must also have an internet connection during the transaction (either the device's cellular data internet connection or wi-fi). The Shopify Card Reader will ship via UPS 2 Day Air.
