VIKING IRONSIDE SWORD The Viking Ironside Sword by Condor is named in honor of Bjrn Ironside - the legendary 9th century Viking king of Sweden. The sharpened blade is 1075 high carbon steel which has been mounted into a hilt with an iron crossguard and pommel and a hardwood grip which is bound in tightly wrapped spiralled leather. Runes are etched onto a single side of the sword blade. The sword is peened over the pommel to create a durable hilt construction.Included with the sword is a hardwood scabbard with an iron chape and a wooden suspension loop. Please Note: It is common for this item to have patches of rust on the iron scabbard chape piece.
