Description
Ingrid Buchthal is one of Germany's leading watercolourists. She
brings an exceptional sensitivity, a lightness of touch and a
seeming effortlessness to all her paintings. Her landscapes have a
haunting presence. Ingrid uses a wide range of brush shapes and
sizes. However, for all of her larger sized brushes she prefers the
synthetic filament of the PRADO series. For her smallest sized
brushes she uses kolinsky-tajmyr hair from the RESERVA
series.Ingrid Buchthal brushes are available in two sets which best
represent what she uses as an artist, all brushes in the sets are
short handled. This set contains:1 x PRADO Round pointed #201
x RESERVA Round central pointed tip #101 x PRADO Filbert #3/4The
PRADO is a synthetic brush with remarkable similarities to sable
hair. It not only imitates its colour, but it also its spring and
absorption of liquids. Thanks to the perfect combination of three
different diameters and three lengths in the fibres, the
brushstrokes created are indistinguishable from those made by
natural hair. The RESERVA is a professional quality Kolinsky-Tajmyr
Sable watercolour brush. Higher quality hair than standard Kolinsky
Sable, these brushes offer excellent holding capacity, a fine point
and retain their shape.
