Description
This is a black sheet of Clairefontaine Ingres paper, measuring 50x65cm, with a laid texture that is ideal for graphite and soft pastel. The surface is reminiscent of traditional hand-made papers from before the Industrial age, with a ribbed texture created by wire mesh moulds. The sheet is made of cotton and is naturally acid-free.
Clairefontaine Ingres is a laid paper, which means that the surface
of each sheet has a faintly ribbed texture, perfect for holding
graphite and soft pastel colour. This surface is characteristic of
the traditional hand-made papers of the pre-Industrial age, which
were formed in sieve-like moulds of wire mesh which left
impressions on the surface of the paper.This sheet is made of
cotton and is naturally acid-free. It measures 50x65cm and is of
