1. Take out the cartridge
2. Turn the printer off and un-plug it from the wall for 30 seconds
3. Gently wipe the chip with a soft, lint free cloth or cotton swab and alcohol
4. Turn on the printer
5. Reinstall the cartridge and make sure it 'clicks' or 'snaps' into place
6.Then the ink level will still read and the cartridge will print as normal even though it read as expired.
