The Lens Mount Adapter is a device that allows Nikon AI lenses to be used on Nikon 1 cameras. It is compatible with all Nikon AI mount lenses and Nikon 1 models J, S, V, AW. The adapter is made of brass and anodized aluminum and comes in silver and black. It allows for focusing to infinity and stop-down metering, but spot metering may not work properly. The lens must be manually controlled as there is no ROM connection on the ring. Auto focus is not available with this adapter. The package includes one lens mount adapter. However, it is important to note that while the lens will physically fit, automatic functions such as diaphragm control and auto-focusing will not work correctly. The user must switch to "stop-down mode" for metering and can shoot in manual or aperture priority mode.
