Description
The Zonda saxophone is a tenor saxophone made of European cane rootstock. It is hand-crafted and features Zonda reeds, which are named after the hot wind that races through the Zonda Pass in the Andes Mountains. The saxophone is made in a pesticide-free environment and is the product of two generations of the Gonzales family.
Zonda reeds take their name from the hot wind that races through the Zonda Pass in the Andes Mountains. The Zonda whips the growing cane back and forth, strengthening its fibers. These European cane rootstocks have flourished since colonial times in a region which has become famous for award-winning wines. Under the stewardship of two generations of the Gonzales family, the Zonda cane is painstakingly cultivated in a pesticide-free environment, then aged and hand-selected.
