This is a new 2nd HDD caddy for HP Elitebook 8470P 8460P 8440P 8540P 8530P 6930P 8440W 8470W mobile workstation. It comes with a standard flat black bezel, you may get the original bezel from the old optical drive. Without bracket, cable or other accessories, you can now have two hard drives in your laptop. CDs are fast becoming obsolete, yet data space never goes out of style. Adding a lot more space to your laptop, this caddy adds an SSD for your OS and most commonly used Apps to drastically increase your speed, while still keeping your old HDD for capacity. By replacing your optical drive, you can install up to a 3 TB hard drive in this enclosure to increase your available storage space. This drive also is available via Target Disk Mode when connected to another Mac using Firmwire.

Optical Bay is 12.7 mm tall. Accepts 2.5 inch SATA hard drives up to 12.7 mm in height.
Notes:
This enclosure does not work with PATA drives or drives taller than 12.7mm.
