Apply a cooking oil coating to the surface and heatuntil the oil begins to smoke.
Using a paper towel or rag, wipe the surface clean.
The Potjie is now ready for use.
To store, wash Potjie and dry, then apply a thinlayer of cooking oil to the surface.- Store in a dry place.
