Description
The Signstek 2 In 1 Digital Auto-ranging Esr + Capacitance Meter is a versatile tool that can measure capacitance, internal resistance, and ERS. It has a rechargeable battery and comes with SMD test clips. The meter has a measure method that uses 4 different ranges of charging current and can display overflow when the value is out of range. It also has an auto sleep feature to save power. However, it is important to discharge the capacitor before measuring to avoid damage. The meter has a digital LCD display with high resolution and an accuracy of up to 1%. It cannot be used for in-circuit testing or measuring wire wound resistors.
Features Measure method: We have 4 range of charging current from 100uA to 50mA, we can ge the capacitance value by counting the time for charge a capacitor to 0.55V
Auto sleep: Around 15minute for not testing, it will shut down automatically to save power; Over flow or OL: Display overflow when the value is out of range, you need to check that if you are zero correctly
ERS form: it is for reference only; different manufacturer of capacitor has different ERS, better to test a good cap ERA and compare with what you are testing, usually bad cap with higher ERS cost few time lager
Notice Before measuring capacitance, the capacitor must be discharged, otherwise very likely damage the meter
It doesn't support IN CIRCUIT Testing
This meter can measure low resistance, but can't be used for wire wound resistor
