The Dimarzio DP100 Super Distortion pickup is a classic pickup that has been used by many musicians to create iconic rock sounds. It is a hot output pickup that produces maximum scream out of your amp. It is available in regular or F-spacing and can be used on vintage Gibson guitars or guitars with Floyd Rose bridges.
This is the pickup that started it all. Many of the classic Rock guitar sounds of the '70s and '80s were produced by a Super Distortion and a raging tube amp. But don't confuse classic with outdated. Diverse artists from Al DiMeola, Frank Gambale and Vinnie Moore to Metal veterans Iron Maiden and Ace Frehley have chosen the Super Distortion as an integral part of their personal sound.. Many of the classic rock sounds of the '70s and '80s came from this pickup. It's been integral to the sound of DiMeola, Gambale, Vinnie Moore, and Frehley. Hot output and mid-boost get maximum scream out of your amp. 4-conductor versatility with coil-splitting capability. Regular or F-spacing. Regular spacing (1.90" 1st-to-6th) is for vintage Gibson guitars. F-spacing (2.01" 1-st-to-6th) is for most Fender guitars, modern Gibson, and guitars with Floyd Rose bridges.
