The filter should be installed on cold water lines only and should not be used on water lines exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The filter should be removed if the water temperature falls below 0.6 degrees Celsius. The filter should be kept clean with simple soap and water and should not be used with insecticides or spray cleaners. When installing the filter, enough tubing should be used to allow removal of the refrigerator and appliance as well as prevent damage to the tubing, filter, or fittings.

Prevent the filter from freezing. Remove if water temperature falls below 0.6C (33F). Avoid exposure of filter housing to external heat or flames.
