This is a message about a Gateway MS2252 laptop LCD screen replacement. If your existing Gateway laptop LCD screen is 1440x900 WXGA resolution, and you try to upgrade to 1920x1200 WUXGA, it will not work. If your laptop came originally with WUXGA 1920x1200 resolution, then this replacement LCD screen will work for you.

If your existing LCD is 1440 X 900 WXGA resolution and if you try to upgrade to 1920x1200 WUXGA it will not work. If your laptop came originally with WUXGA 1920x1200 then and then listed LCD is going to work for you. We recently had customer who tried to upgrade resolution thinking his GPU can handle it but experiment failed as it did not work for him. Please match your original screen's BACKLIGHT TYPE, SIZE, and RESOLUTION before you purchase this item, because some laptop models come with more than one type of screens.
