Recipe CHOCOLATE-DRIZZLED POPCORN
- 8 cups popped corn
- ? cup roasted almonds, unsalted
- cup chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoons shortening (do not use butter, margarine, spread or oil)
1. Add the popcorn and almonds to a large aluminum foil pan. 2. Place chocolate chips and shortening in a small microwave-safe container. 3. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 1 minute; stir. If necessary, microwave at MEDIUM an additional 10 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until chocolate is melted and smooth when stirred. 4. While hot, use a fork to swirl the chocolate over the popcorn and almonds. 5. Allow cooling at room temperature for 15 minutes. Variations: Use any chocolate or flavored chips of your choice. Combine dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate drizzles. Create your own special drizzled popcorn.
