Rose Malaia GARNET Rare, highly sought Garnet species. Malaia Garnet was first discovered in Umba River alluvial deposits. Chemically it is a mixture of Pyrope and Spessartine with Almandine and/or Grossular. This particular piece comes from a newly discovered deposit in Eastern Africa.
ORIGIN: Eastern AFRICA Im unable to reveal its exact origin simply to avoid a massive intervention from my competitors, followed by a huge increase in price! Remember that Malaia Garnet in this color and quality is typically sold at 450 USD to 1,500 USD per gram. This piece was mined by local villagers in January 2016.
