 Item Description
This listing is for a door lock repair kit for BMW E46 chassis vehicles between 1998-2006.  Kit includes all internal lock pieces pictured above.  Our new and improved parts will allow you to fix your broken or jammed locks as well as the spinning barrel syndrome.  Don't pay the dealer R2000 for a new lock when you can repair your own for a fraction of that price. The PiecesA = Retaining Clip - This holds all the lock components together
B = Lock Shaft - This shaft has a cross shaped top. This cross fits into the actuator within the door and signals the vehicle to unlock the door when turned.
C = Spring - This gives tension to the lock when turned and allows the lock to return to the center position.
D = U-Shaped Middle Plate - This section joins the lock mechanism to the spring and shaft. Two slightly different pieces are provided (driver-D1, passenger-D2).  THIS PIECE IS THE MOST COMMON TO FAIL
E = Base plate - This is the bottom piece that functions to keep all the components in place. This piece does not rotate.
