Aroma: Herbaceous, floral with a slightly camphorous note.
There are a few different varieties of Lavender used to produce the essential oil, ours is the Augustifolia, which is considered the finest.
- Lavender is one of the most versatile oils, considered the best oil for general use, and one of the few oils that can be used undiluted.
- It can be daubed on the temples or back of the neck to aid sleep, relaxation, and relieve headaches.
- Use neat on insect bites, also acts as a repellent.
- This oil can be used to disinfect surfaces around the home, and is also anti fungal, so effective against Athletes foot and other fungal skin problems.
- Use in a carrier oil to massage painful areas, to stimulate the circulation, for hair health and hair loss.
- When applied, diluted, directly to acne spots, it can reduce the flare up, and lessen any possible scarring.
- As a steam inhalation also helps relieve respiratory congestion.
Warnings:Although Lavender is such a versatile all rounder, do not ingest, or use when pregnant or breast feeding.
Diabetics should use with care.
