Description
I felt I needed one more soap for you all to enjoy and when I made
Spice, I introduced a whole new fragrance to my existing range. This fragrance is Cedarwood. Remember the smell of grandmothers cedar chest? Cedarwood essential oil is a lot like that: warm, grounding, comfortable. Cedarwood is a well-documented oil, used by the Sumerians, Egyptians and Tibetans. It is mentioned over 40 times in the Bible. Not to get too technical on you, but an interesting fact is that Cedarwood oil contains the highest amount of sesquiterpenes. Sesquiterpenes are a hydrocarbon group that is found in essential oils. They stimulate the limbic system of the brain which helps to elevate our mood and helps us relax (overcome stress). This explains why Cedarwood is relaxing and may help with focus. Each bar weights about 130 grams. These soaps make super gifts as well.
